Pottering around the appealing small town of Urussanga last Tuesday morning, we made our way to the tourist information office, housed in a former station. A couple of hours passed very easily in the delightful company of Henry and Hevelise, first in their office and then in the ice cream parlour opposite.
Via Henry, we’ve since learned that our visit was deemed worthy of a mention in the local newspaper, the Jornal Vanguarda – on page 23, no less. Clicking on the image at the top should bring up a larger version; alternatively, a PDF of the full page is available by clicking here. It’s in Portuguese, of course, but those without the necessary language skills should be able to get the gist.

No, though we’re asked pretty much every day if we’re man and wife…

great to see you both – finally getting a bit of time to catch up with what you are up to – it’s been like jumping onto a very fast moving train back here at work! Love to you both

At first glance, Ruth looks like she’s strolling along with a very stylish handbag. But on closer inspection, no, it’s a cycling helmet. Ah yes, of course, but still very stylish anyhow. What a fabulous time you two are having!
